Happy Saint David’s Day!

St. David’s Day is celebrated on March 1st in honour of Dewi Sant (St David), the Patron Saint of Wales. St. David lived in the sixth century, working as a bishop of Mynyw

The best known of St. David’s miracles is that of Llanddewi Brefi. While preaching to a large crowd, it is said that the ground he stood on rose to form a small hill so that everyone could see and hear him. In that moment, a white dove came and rested upon his shoulder. Today, we mark Saint David by his emblem, a white dove.

St. David’s Day is a cause for celebration here at Bradan Press! Not only is he Welsh, like our author Terri M. Roberts, but he is also the Patron Saint of doves and poetry.

In case you didn’t know, Bradan Press LOVES poetry! We have a variety of poetry published at Bradan Press.
