Submissions Open for New NS Gaelic Poetry Collection
Submissions are open for a new Nova Scotia Gaelic poetry collection! Anyone who lives or lived in Nova Scotia, has studied Gaelic in Nova Scotia, or has studied Gaelic with a Nova Scotian teacher, is eligible to submit up to four poems. Submissions will be open from April 30 until June 30. For details, see our next blog post on Friday April 30.

Wash your face in the morning dew and then go to Bandcamp for free Gaelic poetry to celebrate Là Buidhe Bealltainn, May Day! For Gaelic Month, Bradan Press is making Lewis MacKinnon’s audiobook track “Là Buidhe Bealltainn – May Day” track available for free all month on Bandcamp! The track features Gaelic and Persian music with four poems by Lewis MacKinnon (Lodaidh MacFhionghain). Three of these poems are Lewis’s translations of Rumi and Coleman Barks. Listen here.

On this day we celebrate the release of the free Bradan Press audiobook edition of Biorachan Beag agus Biorachan Mór on Bandcamp! We produced this audiobook with a grant from the Gàidheil air Adhart fund of Comhairle na Gàidhlig, the Gaelic Council of Nova Scotia. Listen to the free audiobook.
